Achiever’s Zone Season 2 Loading…

The Year was 2018, the Month December & we were all preparing for the festivities & the dawn of a new year i.e The year 2019.

As my usual practice, I had started my 2018 shutdown from the start of September & was just reviewing my year when I got an email from Michael Hyatt to attend a webinar on “HOW TO SET GOALS THAT STICK IN 2019“.

I quickly jumped on it as prior to now I had struggled with GOAL SETTING & how to achieve a high success rate at the end of the year even though I have been doing it for almost 2 decades.

The things I learnt in that webinar turned my annual goals success rate from the low 40’s to the high 80’s & 90’s. I was amazed at how additional information could transform that aspect of my life.

So I ran the experiment all through 2019 & customized the lessons learnt. By Dec 2019, I decided to share some of these nuggets with people on my socials especially LinkedIn & Facebook as we looked to enter the year 2020.

Unknown to us, year 2020 turned out to be the COVID-19 pandemic year with news of a new virus streaming through the media by late December 2019 & we didn’t really take it seriously.

True to form, I started sharing & posting on Goal settings & gave tips on what to do to get a high success rate based on what i had learnt in 2018 & my practical experience all through 2019.

The response was great & I was encouraged to continue. We were building a community of people who had sparked a common interest of setting their goals & targets for the year & were going to achieve them. A community of Achievers!!

Then in March 2020 ( i.e. End of Q1) , we were meant to start a review of our Q1 goals & start to set Q2 when all HELL broke loose & the COVID-19 pandemic went into full mode as nations all around the world decide to shelter-in-place & lock-down everything. A lot of confusion & misinformation abounded everywhere you turn both on traditional & social media & I was also confused.

But in such times, I have learnt never to rush out, but to rush inwards & double check things with God & in that moment, I was inspired to be the voice of reasoning.

Based on my Technical expertise, I began to debunk all of the fantasy stories about COVID-19 & 5G, the need to wear a mask or not & all those conspiracy theories that got me worried about how quickly rationality can be eliminated in our society just by a few people speaking alternate-reality.

I reached out via LinkedIn to Professors in the UK & Scotland that were leading the 5G projects, got to speak to my friends home & abroad about how they are coping & surviving & then I was inspired to take the Achiever’s community to another level.

That gave birth to Achiever’s Zone Season 1, this was going to be a series of online (Q&A) interviews with my friends ( who were spread across the world) during the lock-down period in which we share tips & nuggets on Life, Leadership, Goal settings, Health & Fitness etc.

I quickly reached out to these friends & some that I have never met before but just saw that their online postings aligned with what I was inspired to do.

Surprisingly, it didn’t take me a lot of convincing to get 10 of my friends & acquaintances together to form a Faculty of Experts who were going to help us through the season.

This was something I had never done before, so I had to start researching on online production, how to go about it, what tools to use, etc.

Then the doubts started coming through, What if i fail? What if the people don’t show up? What if the guests/faculty doesn’t measure up?

Well I silenced the fears & took steps afraid, with ore research & support from friends, we(The Production Team) started.

We setup the 1st Episode of Achiever’s Zone on the 11th of May 2020 with Mrs. Jane Egerton-Idehen (who is now the current MD/CEO of NIGCOMSAT) as our 1st guest with the topic “Goals & Goal settings ( Writing a Book), Jane had just published her award winning book titled “Be Fearless“.

We eventually tapped 9 out of the scheduled 10 Episodes (We had serious technical issues on Episode 8 & we had to stop mid-way) & we finished on the 12th of September 2020 with Mrs. Ota Akhigbe ( A Strategic Leader in Banking & now a Health & Growth Expert, ) on the topic “The mindset shift you need to grow“.

After the end of the season with the virus still raging & sedentary life now the order of the day, I fell sick & my health was really challenged to almost the point of death.

But I always remembered my Mentor saying that “Death will always respect Purpose”.

I know that I survived that ordeal for a reason & after 3 years of recovery & gaining my strengths back ( I am even stronger now than I have been all my life), I am inspired to start Achiever’s Zone Season 2 next year 2024.

We have lined up an awesome Faculty of Experts for Season 2 with some old faces returning & new ones signed up to add value you.

The first Episode will drop on the 20th of Jan 2024 (exactly 8 weeks from now) with a new face which will be revealed in the coming days.
